There's this pot hole on my street...when you turn onto Rose from Overland it's before the first stop sign. It's quite bad and there's almost no avoiding, especially when cars are parked on both sides of the street. They repaired it on January 18th. It was already a huge ass gaping hole again by the 28th. They fill it about once a month, sometimes more often, but they never seal it or apply pressure, it's just filled with loose crap. It doesn't help that it's right at a drain for one of the buildings.

In other news...work has been insane this week. One of our huge projects is finishing up so we had to assemble raw data, generate charts analyzing the data and get everything sent off to PA. We also had to send reminders for the National Education Lab letting them know that they suck and people still haven't completed the survey. Our other big project just put out an extension, so I emailed almost 800 schools in New York with updated information for the survey. Hopefully we'll get more responses (our numbers suck so far).

Tonight is archery, we'll be talking about the upcoming event. There's only 7 more practices, after all ([livejournal.com profile] aliskye). I sent out an email today with my ultimately evil plan to make the second life for the melee a reward for entering arts. So far two people don't like it, but a few others do. The two that didn't said to make it a 3rd life. I don't know, we'll see.

I've been trying to find a new bow on ebay for over a month now. I saw one that I really liked, but it went out of my price range (unfortunately). So if you happen upon a really beautiful #30-34 bow, let me know. I'm being picky at this point since I've got a lighter one. If you see a Diamond Merrywood in that weight range, really let me know, that's the one I missed out on and it was just really fucking beautiful.

I'm bummed that I got to borrow some equipment, and my first free Thursday to join you guys on the range, I had to go up to Darachshire for council meeting. Do you have to authorize in target archery in the SCA? I'm seriously considering Arts & Archery, with my rusty haven't-shot-in-15-years skills to dust off. *giggle*

You have to authorize in Caid. It's a fairly simple process (test and practical - only to say you're not going to harm yourself or others!). We'd love to have you come out one night when you're free and for Arts & Archery!
