24 hours later and I'm feeling much better. G took me to lunch at Ocean Seafood (which I really wanted, I love that place!) and then we went fabric shopping. While I didn't find anything I completely fell in love with enough to buy, I did get a few swatches of amazing linen at B Black. I'll probably end up going back. We got home a little after 5pm and then I had 2 hours to rest before heading to the bowling alley to meet everyone else.
Yep, you heard it right, bowling. I decided I wanted to do something that we didn't normally do and that would allow us to chat while doing it. We all pretty much sucked (except P1 in his first game, he got 4 strikes in a row for a 146!), but it was fun. I bowled an 88 and a 96 (I won the second game, much to my surprise). There were 6 of us that bowled (me, P1, P2, R, E and A showed up late) and B joined us for dinner at Maria's after that. Everyone agreed that if we go bowling again that we start drinking first, have dinner near the alley and start playing after 9pm when the prices per game go down (and the alcohol goes up).
I will never forget the birthday when Happy Birthday was played to me on a harmonica in a minor key.
I just got home and it was a good night. I told P1 and P2 they still have to figure out how to get me the present I want...but it can't be bought at any store.
